Established in 2003, and located within the Canberra region, Cresswell Consulting is a boutique communication management and business advisory firm.
We work closely and collaboratively with clients to develop strategic, fully customised solutions that help individuals, businesses and organisations enhance their reputations and achieve greater success. We do this through a deep understanding of the key principles and methodologies that underpin authentic engagement and enduring influence.

OUR PRINCIPAL
Margaret Cresswell
Margaret Cresswell is the founding Principal of Cresswell Consulting. She works closely in a strategic advisory and consulting capacity with senior executives, Boards and high performing teams in shaping and implementing strategy around communication management and business governance.
Margaret’s experience as a business leader and senior communication executive is extensive and multi-disciplinary, spanning a range of sectors including Defence, the Australian Public Service, the environment, education, legal services, industry associations, community services and hospitality, and charitable organisations. Her diverse experiences and unique set of skills allows Margaret to comfortably operate within and across multiple business environments and government portfolios.
Margaret is also well known for her innovative approaches to high value stakeholder and business partner management, in particular her ability to invigorate engagement with multiple and often disparate groups. Her collaborative and proactive leadership style helps to create environments that embrace change, support critical management initiatives and position organizations for the future.
Prior to forming Cresswell Consulting, Margaret was co-founder and Managing Director of Rave Communication, a full-service public relations agency. She has also held the position of senior policy advisor within the Australian Public Service for a number of years, and was a serving member of the Australian Defence Force at the start of her career.
Margaret has also lived, studied and worked within the Asia Pacific region throughout her career, most recently in Solomon Islands from 2010-2012.
Margaret holds a Masters of International Law and a Bachelor of Communication.
